Lighter Feeling Days
Hey friend!
Do you remember the last time you skipped? Not the skipping of an errand or an appointment 🤣 I mean an actual skip, like you might have done as a child.
As we get older, our movements become… predictable. We learn to conserve our energy, moving efficiently, keeping things smooth and steady. That’s not a bad thing—but somewhere in there, we can lose a little spark.
And with that spark goes the bounce in our step, the lightheartedness, the play. What if, just for today, you tried something different?
Next time you walk to the mailbox or head into the kitchen, what if you tried adding a skip or two. Maybe when you reach your destination, you throw in a small hop.
Notice what happens. How does your body feel? Does your mood shift? Do you catch yourself smiling for no reason at all?
These tiny bursts of playful movement can wake up parts of you that might have been dozing for years. They remind you—without words—that joy doesn’t have to wait for big events or perfect circumstances.
It’s the little things, done with intention, that make an ordinary day feel extraordinary.
Lately, I’ve been revisiting some of my older seasonal journals and smiling at all the small, joy-infusing ideas tucked inside. The pages are full of prompts, inspiration, and reminders like the theme of this email taken from the journal in the image above—tools for reawakening wonder in daily life.
The older journals used to be dated, but recently I purchased some stickers to cover up the old dates, so that these little storehouses of goodness don't go to waste. These are deeply discounted—because, well, they require a little sticker effort, but they still are chock full of value and can spark a little everyday joy to your life.
Autumn is the perfect time for journaling. So whether you've been using the undated journals for awhile now and don't want to miss the goodness in the old ones too or if your budget hasn't been able to stretch enough to get a current one, now is the time get one of these.
If your days could use a bit more lightness, play, and intentional living, you’ll love letting these be your guide.
Here’s to more skipping, smiling, and everyday magic,
Julie
