When Less is More...
As we turn the page into December, I’m reminded how easy it is for life to swell at the edges. Calendars fill, obligations pile up, and suddenly your days feel more crowded than you ever intended. It happens quietly—one “yes” here, one expectation there—until you’re moving through life with very little room to breathe.
I’ve been thinking a lot lately about the beliefs that sit underneath this pattern. So many of us were raised to equate busyness with worthiness. I was. Idle hands were considered lazy ones.
Productivity held top value. As I grew up, a full calendar seemed to equate to a full life. Yet, when those ideas run the show, we can find ourselves living by momentum rather than intention.
Here’s the truth that keeps tapping me on the shoulder:
A spacious life isn’t the result of having fewer responsibilities. It’s the result of choosing differently.
Most crowded seasons begin with a belief—sometimes inherited, often unexamined. And most meaningful shifts begin with gently questioning those beliefs. What if productivity didn’t have to be the measuring stick? What if presence held more weight than output? What if the slow moments—the ones we’re so quick to rush through—held the very things we say we want?
These questions have been the foundation of my own personal “reset” over the years, and they’re at the heart of what I’m teaching this week inside Jumpstart Your January Re-Set, which begins today.
If you feel the tug to create more breathing room in your life…
If you’re craving a simple reset that feels nourishing rather than like more work…
If you want to start the new year with clarity, calm, and a fresh sense of what actually matters…
Then I’d love to have you join me.
The first week’s materials walk you through a simple but insightful assessment of how crowded your life really is (it’s often more revealing than we expect), followed by a look at the beliefs that quietly keep us stuck in busyness. We wrap up with practical ways to shift from constant productivity to genuine presence.
It’s gentle. It’s grounding. And it’s a beautiful way to begin a new chapter.
If this feels aligned, it's not too late to join in here: Jumpstart Your January Re-Set.
Let’s make December the beginning of something slower, steadier, and much more intentional.
With warm gratitude for who you are becoming, 💗 Julie
I value presence over productivity.
