Your DO LESS List
What if this week between Christmas and New Year’s could have a different rhythm.
What if you let the noise quiet. The calendar loosen. Time feels soft somehow.
So many of us feel an odd pressure to use this week well—to organize, plan, clean, decide, improve. I’d love to offer a different invitation.
A “Do Less” List for the Final Week of the Year
You don’t need to:
- Catch up on everything you didn’t get to this year
- Clean, purge, organize, or overhaul your life
- Be productive just because you finally have time
- Make big decisions (clarity loves rest, not pressure)
- Explain why you want a little more quiet than usual
Instead, consider letting this week be about:
- Noticing what this year actually held for you
- Resting your body and your mind
- Enjoying small comforts—slow mornings, walks, warm drinks
- Closing the year gently rather than forcefully
- Listening for what feels ready… and what still needs time
There will be plenty of days ahead for action and momentum.
This week is for integration. For exhaling. For letting things settle.
Let yourself end the year gently...
It’s one of the most intentional gifts you can give yourself.
Humbly yours,
Julie
Rest is not a reward; it is part of living well.
